Benefit Fraud is a criminal offence that occurs when an individual knowingly or dishonestly gets more benefit than they are entitled to.聽
Benefit fraud includes: 聽
- Not advising that a change of circumstances has taken place that will affect benefit entitlement, e.g. not advising that a partner is living with you.
- Giving false information when making a聽 claim for benefit
- Withholding information e.g. not declaring earnings, savings, pensions etc.聽
